About
Notes from the bench, not a shop.
An independent guide to making one-off physical parts with AI-drafted CAD or PCB files and on-demand shops.
Vibe Manufacturing explains a workflow: describe a physical part, use an AI tool to draft the CAD or the PCB, check the file, and send it to a fabricator that already has the machine. The audience is a person who needs one bracket, one jig, one knob, or a small board, and who does not want to stand up a factory to get it.
This site is not a machine shop, a CAD vendor,. Companies named in the articles — including SendCutSend, Xometry, Protolabs, JLCPCB, and PCBWay — are examples of shop categories. They are not sponsors. Nothing here claims a price, a lead time, or a capability on their behalf. If a sentence would require their current documentation, the article tells you to go read it.
How the articles are written
A use case starts as one Markdown file. The published ones are specific: a part, a measurement plan, a prompt you can adapt, a prototype, a review, and a kind of shop. Numbers are either left out or marked as estimates. Quotes, survey results, and "most people" claims do not belong here unless a source is actually in hand, which these notes do not pretend to have.
The project includes a script and a scheduled workflow that can add one draft Markdown file a day from a backlog of ideas. A draft stays off the public site until a person rewrites it and sets draft: false. The script is a queue, not an author.
What this site will not help you build
Load-rated safety hardware, medical devices used on a person, fuel systems, seat belts, and mains wiring are out of scope. Several articles exist mostly to draw that line in a place people are already searching. If the interesting version of the project is the dangerous one, the article says so and points at the accessory you can actually make.
